This week we discussed the story of Joseph from Genesis 37–50 and the powerful lesson it teaches about envy and God’s greater purpose. We were reminded how jealousy, when left unchecked, can damage relationships and distance us from God, just as it did in the lives of Joseph’s brothers. Yet Joseph’s journey also revealed a deeper truth about what it means to be blessed. God’s blessing is not simply about comfort or success, but about being used to bless others, even through hardship. Like Joseph, we are invited to trust that what others may intend for harm, God can use for good, allowing His grace to flow through our lives to bring hope and healing to others.
